I know your proverbial plates are literally full, so this week, I’m giving you permission to cheat.
All you have to do is use this IJEA All-State Journalism Team Cheat Sheet to find out who from your student media staff should be nominated for the 2017 IJEA All-State Journalism Team.
If you check at least four boxes (note: this number is COMPLETELY arbitra
ry), you have a nominee.
You only have until March 15 to submit their names, so start cheating today!
IJEA’s All-State Journalism Team was created to honor and celebrate the tremendous students in Illinois doing the all-important work of good journalism, particularly those who are “indispensable” to you and your student media staff.
Amanda Bright taught journalism and advised the yearbook and student newspaper at Mattoon High School from 2008 to 2016. Currently she teaches journalism at Eastern Illinois University and is finishing her doctoral studies in Curriculum, Instruction, and Media Technology at Indiana State University, while acting as the Media Content Coordinator for Indiana State Online.
