Friend of Scholarship Award 2006

Susie Knoblauch, assistant executive director who oversees the state journalism competition, received a special citation as well. In his remarks, Gonczy noted that IHSA made the statewide high school journalism competition a reality, the first of its kind in Illinois history. The competition's success ensures an exciting and rich experience in journalism for students across the state. He said the IHSA demonstrated a commitment to the highest quality for students involved in high school journalism. The award was presented at the annual Illinois State High School Press Association fall conference. |
